It would also work as great fan service for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bringing a beloved character like Bobbi Morse back through the films can further develop Laura Barton as a former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Both Morse and Laura Barton can be Mockingbird if it is a mantle instead of the identity of a single character. MCU Laura Barton retires from service to raise a family, so Morse may take the "Mockingbird" name after Barton in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, Laura Barton replaces Bobbi Morse as Hawkeye's wife in Marvel Studios' films. Elements of the comics' incarnation of Bobbi Morse are being implemented into the MCU's Laura Barton. In the comics, Laura is not an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. It is Bobbi Morse, not Laura Barton, who is assigned the Number 19 in the comics. agent, the Hawkeye series connects Clint's wife, Laura Barton, to Agent Number 19. ![]() Although Morse operates under the codename of "Mockingbird" as a S.H.I.E.L.D. Hunter and Morse were set to appear in a spin-off called Marvel's Most Wanted which did not materialize. Both Morse and her partner, Lance Hunter, leave the series when they are forced to resign from S.H.I.E.L.D. Alongside Melinda May, Bobbi Morse earns her spot on the list of most skilled S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Bobbi Morse appears in Seasons Two and Three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
